Are there any optometrists who have suggestions for a high school student looking into that career?

I am in high school and trying to figure out the best path to take. I decided that I really would like to be an optometrist or perhaps an ophthalmologist. I’m wondering what are good schools to go to? What are stressful parts of the job? What is the best part of the job? Is it hard to get a job in this field? Really any information anyone has would be really helpful!
