Do optometrists have to look at or see anything bloody?

I recently became interested in going to optometry school in the future but was just wondering whether optometrists have to preform surgery or anything of that kind because that is something I do NOT want to do.
Optometrists don’t do surgery, ophthalmologists do surgery. Generally speaking, optometrists are concerned with correcting vision with lenses. They leave the physical eye problems to ophthalmolgists.
